Welcome to the Wickford in Bloom Website.
Wickford in Bloom is a community volunteer group created in 2019 with the aim of adding colour to our High St & the town in general through flowers.
We installed planters, baskets & trees around the Town centre and in 2024 entered the Anglia in Bloom competition.
We currently have around 53 low level planters located around the town that have bulbs for spring colour which are then planted up with around 800 plants for summer colour.
In addition we have hanging baskets, sponsored by local businesses, installed by a specialist contractor.
To do the work we do and bring colour and we hope, a sense of community to the town, we always need funds.
All money raised for the planters, flowers, trees etc is through donations, grants or sponsorship.
We have a gofundme page where donations can be made by, a paypal account, or if you see us in the High street we always have a collection box with us for cash donations.

You can also nominate Wickford in Bloom at the Co Op in St Lukes to receive a donation from the Co Op when you use the store card.
Thank you for all those who have already donated, every amount helps and the more we can raise, the more displays we can provide.

We meet on a Wednesday Evening at around 5.00pm and Sunday Morning at around 9.00am in Market Avenue throughout the summer.
All ages and abilities are welcome as there is always watering and deadheading to do, along with tidying up the planters. Afterwards on a Sunday some volunteers visit one of the local cafe's for Coffee and Cake (and a chat).
Sunday is also the day for Robbie and the Wickford Cemetery team to do their thing so they head off around 10.00.
